Band Luar Negri yang Terkenal Tahun 2010 Beraliran Punk Rock

Banyak band luar negri yang terkenal dan umumnya dipersonalisasi oleh anak-anak muda. Kali ini saya akan memaparkan beberapa band luar negeri yang terkenal beraliran punk rock.

1. Greenday
Green Day adalah sebuah kelompok musik bergenre punk rock yang berasal dari California, Amerika Serikat dan terdiri atas Billie Joe Armstrong (penyanyi utama, gitaris), Mike Dirnt (basis, penyanyi pendukung), dan Tré Cool (pemain drum, penyanyi pendukung). Green Day telah diakui di dunia musik karena keberhasilan mereka dalam mengembalikan dan membuat genre punk rock kembali terkenal, bersama-sama dengan grup musik tahun 1990-an seperti The Offspring dan Rancid.

Musik mereka telah memengaruhi banyak kelompok musik beraliran punk lain, seperti Blink 182 dan Good Charlotte.

Grup musik ini telah menjual lebih dari 50 juta album di Amerika Serikat dan lebih dari 100 juta album di seluruh dunia. Green Day telah memenangkan berbagai penghargaan, seperti MTV Video Music Awards dan Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, juga berbagai penghargaan lainnya, serta telah memenangkan 3 Grammy Awards (Best Alternative ALbum untuk Dookie, Best Rock Album untuk American Idiot dan Record of the Year untuk Boulevard of Broken Dreams).

2. My Chemical Romance
My Chemical Romance adalah grup musik asal New Jersey, yang dibentuk pada bulan September tahun 2001 oleh Gerard Way dan Matt Pelissier. Saat ini, band ini diawaki oleh Gerard Way (vokal), Mikey Way (bass), Ray Toro (lead guitar), Frank Iero (gitar), dan Mike Pedicone (drum) yang menggantikan Bob Bryar yang merupakan drummer sebelumnya yang keluar pada Maret 2010. Nama band ini terinspirasi oleh buku karangan Irvine Welsh yaitu Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance.

My Chemical Romance adalah grup band yang menurut media bergenre pop punk,[1] post-hardcore,[1] "punk revival",[1] rock alternatif. Namun grup ini mendeskripsikan musik mereka sebagai musik "rock" atau "pop yang kasar",[2] dan menolak diklasifikasikan sebagai emo.[3] Grup ini telah merilis empat album yaitu I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love pada tahun 2002, Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge pada tahun 2004, The Black Parade pada tahun 2006 dan Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys yang dirilis pada tanggal 22 November 2010.

Band ini mendapat inspirasi dari Queen, Black Flag, Iron Maiden, The Misfits, Morissey, At the Gates, Pink Floyd, The Smashing Pumpkins, Descendents, Pantera, The Cure, dan The Smiths. Selain terinspirasi, mereka juga menginspirasi sekelompok anak muda asal Indonesia yang akrab disebut kelompok SGW.

3. Jimmy Eat World
Jimmy Eat World is an American alternative rock band from Mesa, Arizona, that formed in 1993. The band is composed of lead vocalist and guitarist Jim Adkins, guitarist and backing vocalist Tom Linton, bassist Rick Burch and drummer Zach Lind.

Jimmy Eat World has released seven studio albums, the last six featuring the current lineup. The band originally formed with a punk rock sound, first releasing a demo tape in 1993, followed by their first EP in 1994, titled One, Two, Three, Four. Their debut self-titled album (1994) was released with current guitarist Linton singing most of the lead vocals on the album. Jimmy Eat World released both their second and third albums through Capitol Records, with Static Prevails (1996) featuring their first single "Rockstar". The critically acclaimed Clarity (1999) contained the single "Lucky Denver Mint", which was featured in the film Never Been Kissed and went on to garner a cult following.

The four piece's commercial breakthrough came with the successful release of several singles from the album Bleed American (2001). Four singles from the album charted within the top 20 of the Hot Modern Rock Tracks, and "The Middle" peaked at number one. Jimmy Eat World followed up with Futures (2004), featuring another Modern Rock Tracks number one, "Pain". The RIAA certified Bleed American platinum and Futures gold, rewarding the two albums for selling over one and a half million records between them. The band's sixth album, Chase This Light (2007), became the band's highest charting album, peaking at number five on the Billboard 200. Invented, the follow up to Chase This Light, was released on September 28, 2010 on Interscope Records.

4. All Time Low
All Time Low is an American Pop Rock band from Baltimore, Maryland, formed in 2003. The band consists of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Alexander Gaskarth, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Jack Barakat, bassist and back vocalist Zachary Merrick, and drummer Rian Dawson. The band's name is taken from lyrics in the song "Head on Collision" by New Found Glory.[7][8]

Formed while still in high school, All Time Low started out covering pop punk bands such as Blink-182. They signed their first record deal with Emerald Moon Records in 2004 and released their first EP, titled The Three Words to Remember in Dealing with the End later that year. Their first studio album, The Party Scene, was released July 2005. Before graduating high school in 2006, they signed a record deal with Hopeless Records and re-recorded songs from their debut album and included two new songs for their EP Put Up or Shut Up. The EP entered both the Independent Albums and Top Heatseekers charts.

In 2007, All Time Low released So Wrong, It's Right, which entered the Billboard 200 at number 62. The band was eventually selected as Alternative Press Magazine's Band of the Year for 2008. Their third album Nothing Personal was released in July 2009, debuting at number four on the Billboard 200.

5. Third Eye Blind
Third Eye Blind is an American alternative rock band formed in the early 1990s in San Francisco. The band's current line-up is Stephan Jenkins (vocals, guitar), and Brad Hargreaves (drums, percussion). Guitarist Kryz Reid and bassist Abe Millet have replaced the departed Tony Fredianelli and Arion Salazar respectively.

After the success of their eponymous debut album in 1997, the band released one more album, 1999's Blue, before guitarist Kevin Cadogan was released under controversial circumstances.[2] In 2003, the band released Out of the Vein. In 2008, the band released the digital EP Red Star. After a six-year hiatus from releasing a full-length album, Ursa Major was released on August 17, 2009. A fifth album currently set for a 2011 release is being worked on as well.

The band is best known for the singles "Semi-Charmed Life", "How's It Going to Be", "Graduate", "Jumper" and "Never Let You Go".
